Fabulously Redone Tudor Revival in Beachwood Canyon Asks $1.725M

Initially, they were asked for a little design help and to eventually stage this English Tudor Revival located in Beachwood Canyon, a neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills. Instead, they ended up becoming fully immersed in a restoration project that transformed this space beyond its former glory, making it look a thousand times better.

Kirsten Blazek and Gillian Lawlee are obsessed with aesthetics. They’re the design team behind the staging and design company a1000xbetter who have a penchant for mixing old vintage pieces with new modern finds. And, Living Spaces reports they aim to make “every space we create look like a really cool person actually lives there.”

And that’s exactly what they did with the three-bedroom home located at 5921 Canyon Cove. A really cool person will enjoy how they paid special attention to preserving the home’s character by keeping as many of the original details as possible.  They’ll also appreciate how they blend fun accents like the Farrow and Ball wallpaper of the fireplace with the preserved woodwork, hardware, windows, and hardwood floors in the living room.

Their homage to old-world aesthetics continues upstairs where you’ll find the master bedroom with an en suite bath and dual walk-in closets. Two additional well-sized bedrooms are also located on the second floor. The design team managed to carve out another bathroom up here too without giving up any closet space. (Genius.)

The flat and re-landscaped grassy backyard (with room for a pool) welcomes Sunday afternoon hangouts with friends. Or you can go hang with the rest of the cool people in Franklin Village and enjoy one of the sidewalk cafes, bars, and restaurants like La Poubelle.

Last sold in June for just under $1.261 million. It’s now listed by Jeremy Kaiser & Alyse Livingston for $1.725 million.
